doctor's visits and deployments

Today was my first "holy shit what do I do moment" as a mother. I picked Easton up from the babysitter after work and she informed me that his left eye seemed to be a little irritated. Once we walked outside he had a total panic attack started screaming, his eye started tearing nonstop and he wouldn't open either of his eyes- my poor baby was in pain! so what do I do? Call my momma, duh. Frantically I then called the doctor hoping and praying that it wasn't pink eye. After dye in the eye and a black light turns out our baby boy merely scratched his cornea and it should be healed with in 24 hours. Until then, he gets eye drops to ward off any infection and we get to visit the doctor again on Friday. In good news, our growing little man now weighs in at 15lbs 6oz.

In other news, while we thought Jamie would still be home until February- he left us for 4 months yesterday, the 29th on January.. it has been a rough week and a half since we found out they moved up his leave date running around trying to get everything done. Watching him say goodbye to Easton was one of the hardest things I've had to witness so far. Watching someone who does not show his emotions actually become emotional broke my heart.
Here is Jamie and Easton for the last time for four months!

There are alot of other things that are going on in our lives right now, some very good things that hopefully we will be able to share soon- some big career moves are hopefully on the harizon, so please send good vibes in our general direction and it will be greatly appreciated.

Although the pictures don't show it, he really loves his bouncer!

Its cute when hes grumpy, sometimes.

HOCKEY IS BACK!!!!

HOCKEY IS BACK!!! YAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYA!!

... Since becoming a mom, I've quickly learned that there simply are not enough hours in the day. I have also learned that on the days when you have A LOT to accomplish, that your child will be the cuestest, sweetest baby he has ever been making you want nothing more than to snuggle all day.

The first full week back to work has offically come to an end, and boy what a week it was. Easton seems to love daycare, he is spoiled rotten there and he seems to be learing more and more every day. It truly is awesome to see him develop into a little man more and more everyday. Work seems like I never even left, I went out on maternity leave at the end of the busy time and came back from maternity leave at the beginning of busy time (I guess I should've planned that a little better). The good news is that being busy means the work day flies by.

My next class begins on Thursday and then after that, the Master's degree is merely 2 classes away from being mine! I cannot WAIT to be done.... I should be taking a final right now but there are entirely too many things spinning around in my head to focus on the development of adolescents versus adulthood and how religiousity plays an influence in the lives of individuals, so that too like many things will have to be put aside until another day.

Looks like Jamie will be deploying the first week of Feb. meaning we only have a few weeks left with him around. Part of me wishes he were gone already because emotionally and mentally prepping for deployments are stupid and the sooner he goes, the sooner Easton and I can fall into a routine and the sooner he comes back.... We'll be counting down the days until June comes!

... I guess that is about as much of an update as I can give, hopefully within the next few days we'll have some exiciting news to share but for now, I think it is time for me to go study the back of my eyelids.

Hope everyone has a wonderfully amazing week!

Hello!
Welcome to my first stab at blogging. I've decided to attempt to do this for many reasons, the biggest reason being a small attempt to keep our families and friends updated on our life on a little more personal level. With this being the first post, I'd like to start with a little catch up...

2012 was for sure our biggest year to date as a family. Easton James was born on September 26 at 8:19am. He was the missing piece to our family puzzle, with him around we are now complete. Our princess Bella turned 5, Froceous turned 4, and our sweet Jackson turned 2. Jamie and I celebrated our 26th and 28th birthdays, our 4 year wedding anniversary and we also celebrated 1 year of our cat Froceous being cancer free! Jamie had the chance to travel the world (literally!) and I began working on my Master of Arts in Psychology while continuing to work full time... As you can see, 2013 has some pretty big shoes to fill!

I'm hoping to stay on top of this blog as much as I can with updates and pictures, we'll see how well I do. I would like to extend a warm welcome to you as you read our journey through life, growing up Wellbrock!
